Al-Hashimya Bridges and Road Project

Scope: This project comprises the construction of Reinforced Concrete Bridge (20m length) and about 300 m of high reinforced concrete walls with fair face finished. In July, 2007 the Employer instructed us to construct a nearby bridge of about 70m length.

The project comprises Excavation works, embankment construction, water pipelines, Telecommunication ducts and manholes, pavement layers and asphalt binder and wearing course. It also included curbed sidewalks, medians and tiling works in addition to road signage, marking and railing. In order to execute the project which is located inside an urban area (AL-Hashemiya town), temporary detours were constructed and maintained with all necessary signage during construction period.

Two bridges have been constructed, and the railway was closed for seven days only, while the traffic between Zarqa and Irbid kept running around the clock
